Hi Everyone!
My name is Caroline and I am currently a P4 (sixth year) pharmacy student at MCPHS University in Boston, MA. I grew up in Buffalo, NY and yes, I am a Bills fan….GO BILLS!! Currently, I am on my Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotations and have been learning so much. I have an interest in cardiology and infectious diseases and hope to work as an ambulatory care pharmacist!
I absolutely love to travel, learn about other cultures and try new cuisines. Before APPE rotations started, I traveled to Paris and I never wanted to leave. I’ve also been to Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, many islands in the Caribbean and Hawaii. Since traveling is one of my favorite things, I decided to apply for an international APPE rotation so I could get the best of both worlds. So soon I will be heading to Cape Town, South Africa where I will be completing one of my elective rotations. A group of four of us will be working in a public hospital focusing on infectious diseases, specifically HIV and TB. I cannot wait for this amazing opportunity to see how pharmacy is practiced in a different country.
